Many people keep looking for the methods and tricks for sending PDF files or documents on WhatsApp. But installing third party applications for this purpose is not a good option as it may problems related to data theft from your phone. Because you don’t know, what that third party application is doing in the background. WhatsApp Inc. has itself taken this problem under consideration and released a new feature in WhatsApp, i.e. Document Attachment. Yes, now you can send PDF document on WhatsApp just like you send images and videos to your friends.
And the best part is that this feature is fully integrated in WhatsApp, it means, you don’t have to install any third party or harmful application in your Android Smartphone to avail this feature. This tutorial shows you, how to send PDF documents using WhatsApp without any third party application.
Just follow these steps-
Step 1 –
First of all, open the chat of the Contact to which you want to send the PDF document.
After you open that conversation, tap on the Attachment button on the top right corner of the screen, as shown in the screenshot above.
Step 2 –
Now, you will see available option for Attachment, tap on Document.
Step 3 –
You will see the list of available document on your Android Smartphone or iPhone. Tap on the document, that you want to send and then tap on SEND, when it asks for confirmation.
Your document will be sent. If you don’t see this feature in your Phone, just update/upgrade your WhatsApp application to get this feature. The receiver also need to have the latest version of the WhatsApp installed on their phones, otherwise, you(sender) will see following error-
If you see “Can’t send document to user because user is on a version of WhatsApp that doesn’t support them.” error while sending documents to your friends, just ask them to update their WhatsApp application to latest version and the problem will be solved. Enjoy, sending documents over WhatsApp! 🙂
