How to Switch to Local Account in Windows 10

Windows 10 allows users to connect their Microsoft accounts for enhanced security and settings synchronization. And it is quite easy to sign in with a Microsoft account. However, if the Microsoft account doesn’t suit you, you can always switch back to the Local account in Windows 10. Simply go to account settings in Windows 10, and click “Sign in with local account instead“.

When you switch back to the local account, you will lose all your Microsoft Account’s settings. You will also have to create a new local account if not present already. So, if you already had a Local account before switching to Microsoft Account, you can simply use that account.
