How To Download Windows 10 ISO using Media Creation Tool

If you require to install Windows 10 on new PC or reinstall on your existing Windows 10 PC, you are going to need Windows 10 ISO file. You can download Windows 10 ISO from Microsoft’s website for free but finding a link to download Windows 10 ISO is not so easy.

In this tutorial we are going to see how to download Windows 10 ISO file from Microsoft website using Media Creation Tool. You will require a good internet connection to “download Windows 10 ISO file“. A Broadband connection is recommended. We will be using Microsoft’s Media Creation Tool to download Windows 10 ISO file.

How to download Windows 10 ISO file?

Step 1

First you have to download Media Creation Tool. You can search it on Microsoft website or you can download using the links given below.

Media Creation Tool (64 Bit)

Click above links based on what type of system you are using. If you are using 32 bit Windows, then download Media Creation Tool (32 Bit) and if you are using 64 bit Windows, download Media Creation Tool (64 Bit).

Step 2

Now double-click on downloaded file. Setup will start and you would have two options, select second option: Create installation media for another PC and click Next.

Step 3

Now you select the Language, Edition (select the version to download Windows 10 ISO, Windows 10 Home, Pro etc.) and Architecture (32 bit, 64 bit or both) from drop-down lists. Click Next to continue.

Step 4

Select what media you want to use, either you want to make bootable USB drive or download ISO file. You can select first option if you want to make bootable USB flash drive. I recommend downloading ISO file, because if you have ISO file, you can create bootable USB using ISO file. Select ISO file option and click Next.

Step 5

Select path to save downloaded Windows 10 ISO file. You can change the name of Windows 10 ISO file if you wish. Click on Save to start downloading Windows 10 ISO file.

After clicking on Save, “Windows 10 ISO download” will start.

Step 6

After the downloading of Windows 10 ISO file has finished, you can burn DVD using this ISO file or you can create bootable USB drive.
