Save Your Documents as PDF Files on iPhone and iPad

Though there is no official native tool available to convert docs to PDF on iPhone, we can use the built-in printing tool available on iOS. This trick works on older and newer versions of iOS. So, let’s check the process step by step.

Step 1: Open the Document and select Print

First of all, browse the document that you want to convert to PDF. Open it and tap on the Share button in the bottom-left corner. Now, from the Share menu, tap on Print.

Next, skip the print selection screen and zoom out on the preview thumbnail. It will immediately convert the document (docs) to PDF on iPhone. Here, tap on the Share button on the top-right corner and select Save to Files. You can also other options to share converted PDF files.

Now, you will see options to save converted PDF files to iCloud Drive or On My iPhone. Select On My iPhone and Save the file on your iPhone.

Annotate PDF on iPhone and iPad

After you have successfully converted your Doc file to PDF, you can use your iPhone’s native markup tool to annotate it. You have various annotation tools on iOS to design your PDF files.

Step 1: Tap on the Markup icon

Open your PDF file on your iPhone or iPad and tap on the Markup icon in the top-right corner.

Step 2: Make Changes to PDF using Markup Tools

Here, you will have access to various tools to modify your PDF. You can also use the Undo/Redo buttons at the top right corner.
