How To Disable Video Autoplay On Facebook In SmartPhone

Recently, Facebook has launched Video-Autoplay feature on it’s social networking site Due to this Autoplay feature, videos in any post start playing automatically. This feature may seem cool, but it is Facebook’s promotional strategy to force you into watching videos.

Another disadvantage of this feature is that it will consume a lot of your precious data specially when you are on mobile data. How to disable Video Autoplay in Facebook App?

Step 1

First open Facebook App in your Phone

Step 2

Tap on the last icon on top bar (Three Horizontal Lines) and scroll down. Under HELP & SETTINGS, click on App Settings.

Step 3

In App Settings, you will see Videos play automatically is turned on. Tap on it.

A new Video Auto-play popup will appear, tap on Off.

Step 4

Now, you have disabled Auto-play on Facebook in your Phone.

Now, videos will not play automatically on Facebook. For playing a video, you have to tap on it just like earlier you used to do. Enjoy, Have fun!
