How to Restore Startup Sound in Windows 10
Startup sound has been unique to every version of Windows OS. You can even identify the version of Windows by just hearing the startup sound. But you might have noticed that there is no startup sound in Windows 10. However, there is a way to restore or enable Windows startup sound in Windows 10.
The catch here is that Microsoft has not actually removed the sound but they have disabled startup sound in Windows 10 by default. So, it won’t play when you start your Windows 10 PC. However, you can easily enable it from the Sound control panel.

Enable Startup Sound in Windows 10
So, in this tutorial, we are going to show you how to enable or restore startup sound in Windows 10. The process is quite simple. Just follow these steps.
Step 1: Open System Settings
First of all, open Settings in Windows 10. You can open Settings from Start or by pressing the “Windows + I” shortcut on the keyboard. After that click System to open System settings.
Step 2: Go to Sound Settings in Windows 10
Now select Sound from the left pane. After that look for “Sound Control Panel” under Related Settings on the right side. This will open the Sound Control Panel window. Alternatively, you can also open it from Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Sound.

Step 3: Restore Startup Sound in Windows 10
The Sound Control Panel will open. Now, move to the Sounds tab. Here, you can change various Windows sounds. So, to enable the startup sound in Windows 10, check the box for “Play Windows Startup sound“. Finally, click Apply and then OK.
Step 4: Restart your Windows 10 PC
After that close all settings windows. Now, restart your computer to check if the startup sound is enabled or not. Click Start and select Restart from the Power menu.
When your Windows 10 PC boots up, you should hear the startup sound.

Get Windows Startup Sound Back in Windows 10
