Android is operating system which was originally designed by Google to operate on mobile phones and Tablets. But now you can also install it on your PCs as well. Have you ever tried installing Android operating system on your computer? Just like you install Windows on your computer, you can also install Android KitKat 4.4 on your PC.

So, here is the method to install Android KitKat 4.4 Operating system on Computer.
What we need:
- Android KitKat 4.4 Bootable ISO. Download link is provided at the end of the post.
- A PC or Laptop with minimum 512 MB RAM.
How to install Android KitKat 4.4 on Computer?
First download Android KitKat 4.4 Bootable ISO from the link given above. And make a bootable CD. To make bootable CD, you can simply burn the ISO file on a blank CD using Nero or any other CD burning tool. You can also make Bootable USB pendrive. You can try following for burning Android KitKat 4.4 ISO to CD.
Insert bootable CD or USB drive in you computer and restart your computer. You also have to setup your computer to boot from CD or USB drive. You can go here if you don’t know how to set your computer to boot from USB. You can see this article to know how to boot from CD. You will see boot screen like this–
You can run Android Directly from CD without installation. To do that, select first option in the list and press Enter. And go to Step 5.
To install KitKat 4.4 on your Hard Drive, Select the last option and press Enter.
Installation of Android will start. It will show you the list of partitions of your Hard Disk. If you want to install it on existing disk drive, go to Step 4. To continue fresh install, select Create/Modify Partitions option and press Enter.
Now Create a partition by selecting Free space, select New and press Enter.
It will ask you to make Primary or Logical drive. Select Primary and press Enter.
Now it will ask about the size of the partition. You can select the size as per your requirements. Selecting around 10 GB would be enough for it. After entering Size, press Enter. Now select Write option and press enter. It will ask for confirmation, type yes and press Enter.
Now Select Quit option and press Enter.
Now Select the newly created partition from the list and press Enter.
It will ask you to format the selected partition. Select fat32 or ntfs and press Enter.
It will format the partition and ask you to install boot loader GRUB, select Yes and press Enter.
It will write some data and will ask you so create data image, select Yes and press Enter to create disk image. This disk image acts as RAM for Android.
After writing disk image it may ask you for makeing it read write, select Yes. Android has been successfully installed on your system. It will ask you to run Android or to reboot. Select Reboot.
The installation part is now complete. Now start it for the first time. You will see the boot menu like this-
Just select first option and press Enter. Android KitKat 4.4 will start. Just follow on screen instructions-
Select your locale-
Setup wireless network-
You can setup Wifi network or you can just Skip wifi Setting.
Now you Need to sign in with your google account. Just follow on screen instructions-
Enter your Gmail Username and password-
Accept License Agreement-
If it fails to sign-in the normal way, click on Next to sign-in using a web browser.
It will automatically sign you in.
Now, setup your Google Services permissions-
Next, you need to setup Payment info. You can also skip if you don’t want to give this info right now.
Set Date and Time & time zone-
Setup Personal information-
That’s all info we needed to provide. Now you can use it like other android smartphones.
You will see Welcome screen and now you can start using it normally. Click on OK to continue-
Follow on screen options-
You will now see Home Screen, just click on menu button to see all apps-
